About

I am an anthropological archaeologist with a geographical focus on Mesoamerica.  My research examines class and social identity formation among the ancient Maya and incorporates critical social theory, particularly post-colonial feminism, Marxist critiques, and queer theory.  While previous work concentrated on the Classic period Maya, more recent interests include Spanish colonial and indigenous archaeologies.
