About
Yes. the RI list is long, but gosh, it's all so interrelated, and it's all so damn interesting.
My BA was in Music at UC Santa Cruz. Then there was the MA in Music Composition at Mills College, where I studied with David Rosenboom, Anthony Braxton, etc. I even studied with Robert Ashley for a semester. That was a trip. Between then and now I've been a music teacher in a variety of contexts: elementary and K-8 schools, both public and private, preschools, and as director of early childhood music programs. I also picked up a teaching certificate in Orff-Schulwerk; a school of thought in music education. I do think about things in addition to music, and the DANM program is proving to be an excellent way to stretch out a bit. The master plan is to return to music for the Doctorate after this.
